INVENT is an annual competition, organised by Catalyst, that recognises and 91Ï㽶»ÆÉ«ÊÓƵs Northern Ireland's most exciting entrepreneurs and their innovations.
To ensure a focused competition, the organisers are inviting applications across six categories:

- green horizons
- future business
- biobreakthroughs
- living well
- uncharted idea

Who can apply?
INVENT is open to a range of applicants, including:
- startups
- students
- researchers
- individuals working on side projects
Applicants must have a basic prototype to apply to INVENT. See the competition’s for more details on eligibility.
Why apply for INVENT?
Applying for INVENT offers many benefits, including the opportunity to network with industry experts, peers, and influencers who can 91Ï㽶»ÆÉ«ÊÓƵ your business growth.
You'll gain recognition for your innovative ideas and projects, and have the chance to compete for a share of the £55,000 prize fund to help scale your innovation. Each category winner will secure £5,000 and the overall winner will walk away with an additional £20,000, totalling a £25,000 top prize.
The competition will also provide access to valuable workshops and 91Ï㽶»ÆÉ«ÊÓƵ to enhance your entrepreneurial skills, while offering a platform to showcase your innovation to a global audience, increasing your visibility.
