The Business Innovation Grant (BIG) offers Northern Ireland businesses grant 91Ï㽶»ÆÉ«ÊÓƵ from £5,000 to £20,000 to help bring innovative products, services, or processes to market.

Who can apply?
BIG is open to Northern Ireland micro and small to medium enterprises (SMEs) from all sectors (except primary agriculture, forestry, logging, fisheries, or aquaculture) that are not currently Invest NI clients.
To be eligible, projects must align with Innovate NI's definition of innovation - creating something new or significantly improved that adds market value.
What can BIG fund?
Grants from £5,000 to £20,000 could go towards:
- market research and validation
- product testing and development
- product launches and demonstrations
- market entry planning and trade fair attendance
- supply chain and new market exploration, and more
As well as financial 91Ï㽶»ÆÉ«ÊÓƵ, successful applicants will also receive guidance from Innovate NI and a certificate recognising their innovation. Match funding of 30% is required by participating businesses.
