Embrace a Giant Taste – Food & Drink Experience Development Programme

Food and drink experiences are invited to hear more about how they can contribute to positioning NI as a leading food and drink destination.

Tourism Northern Ireland is hosting an Embrace a Giant Taste - Food & Drink Experience Development Programme information session on Tuesday 26 September from 3.30pm to 5pm. The session will offer attendees information about the programme and how they will be 91Ïã½¶»ÆÉ«ÊÓÆµed in creating world-class food and drink experiences to attract people to Northern Ireland.

The programme is open to early learners and experienced participants who wish to develop market-ready food and drink experiences through tourism in Northern Ireland. This includes:

  • businesses that have not previously worked in developing tourism experiences and have the potential to deliver an interesting food and/or drink-related experience
  • businesses that have not previously received 91Ïã½¶»ÆÉ«ÊÓÆµ through other programmes run by Tourism Northern Ireland
  • experiences that have the potential to improve levels of tourism activity at off-peak times in areas such as Fermanagh, Tyrone, Armagh and Derry~Londonderry

Who should attend?

Food and drink experiences encouraged to attend include, but not limited to, those who offer:

  • multi-sensory hands-on food activities
  • guided food tours in the environment of the maker
  • meet the provider to gain insight and learnings on the product
  • visitors to get involved and learn new skills
  • natural settings including heritage and cultural landscape through the stories of food
