Mid Ulster Labour Market Partnership (LMP) is offering local businesses the opportunity to focus on ‘Being an Employer of Choice in Mid Ulster’ at this upcoming event.
Attendees will hear from a range of speakers and learn how to successfully implement positive changes to attract and retain talent.
Event content
The day will begin with a networking breakfast, and attendees will be welcomed by the Chair of Mid Ulster District Council and a representative from the Department for Communities.
Agenda:
- Brief overview of Mid Ulster Council’s Employment Charter - this will lead into the first panel discussion, which will explore how to foster a positive workplace culture through the Charter’s five key principles.
- Interactive break-out sessions - choice of two short workshops designed to 91Ïã½¶»ÆÉ«ÊÓÆµ the Charter’s emphasis on health and wellbeing in the workplace.
- Brief presentation - some of the key workforce challenges currently faced by businesses in the Mid Ulster region.
- Second panel discussion - removing barriers to workforce participation, with a focus on the 91Ïã½¶»ÆÉ«ÊÓÆµs already available to help employers implement meaningful change.
- Before closing, the Chair of the Mid Ulster Labour Market Partnership (LMP) will share the important work of the LMP and remind attendees about how the Employer Support Toolkit can benefit their business.
Attendees are also encouraged to connect with the various organisations present, to explore additional resources and continue the conversation.
Organisations attending include Go Succeed, Labour Relations Agency, Equality Commission, Invest NI, the Department for the Economy, and Workable NI.
