New programme to 91Ïã½¶»ÆÉ«ÊÓÆµ business use of space technology

The UK Space Agency is delivering a new programme to 91Ïã½¶»ÆÉ«ÊÓÆµ organisations realise the business benefits from innovative use of satellite data and services.

The Unlocking Space for Business programme aims to help businesses to:

  • better understand how satellite data and services can benefit them
  • connect with leading data suppliers and technology experts
  • apply for government funding for projects related to satellite data and services

The programme focuses on businesses in the financial services, and transport and logistics sectors. It brings together five key initiatives.

Information hub

You can access the Unlocking Space for Business hub to discover insights and global examples of how organisations can unlock value using satellite data and services.

Exploration workshops

You can access expert perspectives to help you find and prioritise ways your business could use satellite data to address challenges or drive significant impact. Sign up to .

Learning and development

You can tap into online and in-person learning to improve your capability in buying, integrating and exploiting satellite data and services. The initial sessions are for those in the financial services or transport and logistics sectors - .

There will be a dedicated series of sessions later in the year, tailored specifically for suppliers and integrators of space data.

Networking events

You can register to join interactive events and live demonstrations to build connections and explore collaboration and business opportunities with suppliers and integrators. Two such events are scheduled so far:

  • for – in London, on Monday 29 April 2024

Funding call

You can to help de-risk innovative pilot projects, acquire new data and start delivering benefits for your business.

The call is open to end-users with a supplier of space data or services as a partner. Applicants must be able to match the grant funding with their own sourced funding.

The deadline for applications is 22 May 2024.
