Why Canada?
Canada is the second largest country in the world by area with a population of over 40 million people. It is politically stable with a strong record of economic growth and benefits from the UK-Canada Trade Continuity Agreement (TCA) - a free trade agreement between the United Kingdom and Canada. Export sales from the UK to Canada are valued at 拢16.1 billion.
It is a highly developed and competitive market with similar business practices to Northern Ireland, and strong economic and cultural ties with 14% of the Canadian population claiming Irish heritage. Northern Ireland companies such as Kainos, Options IT, First Derivative have established themselves in the market.
