Accelerate SME innovation with Scaling the Edge NI
Applications are now open for Scaling the Edge NI, an intensive, fully funded 8-week programme designed to help Northern Ireland SMEs accelerate innovation and bring new products and services to market.
The programme, funded by the Department for the Economy, provides businesses with expert 91Ï㽶»ÆÉ«ÊÓƵ to refine ideas, test market potential, and apply for non-dilutive funding through Innovate UK and other agencies.
Using Strategyzer's Lean methodology, participants will gain tools to:
- create value propositions
- design business models
- test business ideas
- improve time to market
The programme is open to businesses focused on sustainability and net zero, digital ICT, construction, agri-food and drink, health sciences, advanced manufacturing and engineering and financial professional and business services.
Eligible businesses will benefit from:
- a 2-day online bootcamp (12-13 March 2025)
- £5,000 for market validation activities (14 March – 15 May 2025)
- tailored guidance for product development and funding applications
- opportunities for collaboration with Queen's University Belfast
To be eligible for the Scaling the Edge programme, you and your team must be available to fully attend the 2-day online bootcamp training. Up to four ‘seats' per team can be allocated.
The programme encourages applications from underrepresented groups, including female-led teams and companies outside the greater Belfast area.
