Funding for urban mobility projects across Europe
EIT Urban Mobility has opened a new funding call for ambitious, innovative projects that solve real problems in city transport.
€60 million funding open for urban mobility projects
EIT Urban Mobility has opened its 2026-2028 Strategic Innovation Open Call, inviting projects that tackle important transport problems in cities across Europe. A total of €60 million is available to back ideas that can be developed, tested, and rolled out on a large scale.
The call focuses on five priority sectors where Europe can innovate and create impact:
- urban logistics
- public transport
- mobility data management
- electrification of transport and alternative fuels
- health and mobility
Up to €2 million is available per project, covering up to 65% of eligible costs. Minimum 35% co-funding is required. To be eligible, at least two independent organisations from different European Member States or associated countries must work together on the proposal.
The first application deadline is 23 September 2025 at 5pm CET.
The call will have additional deadlines in February 2026, June 2026, and February 2027.
