Technology accelerator programme providing mentoring and business 91Ï㽶»ÆÉ«ÊÓƵ for businesses to progress in the offshore wind supply chain.
The Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult is seeking supply chain companies looking to develop future opportunities in the offshore wind sector to apply for the 2025 Launch Academy.
Launch Academy is an industry-recognised mentoring and business 91Ï㽶»ÆÉ«ÊÓƵ programme designed to help early-stage companies with innovative, near-to-market products and services to progress in the offshore wind supply chain. Wraparound 91Ï㽶»ÆÉ«ÊÓƵ comprises targeted technology development, business growth and professional services expertise.
This latest programme will be sponsored by the offshore wind industry including EDF Renewables UK & Ireland, bp and ScottishPower Renewables. The sponsors will set a number of challenges that are encountered within the offshore wind sector, and will ask the competing companies to submit their most innovative solutions.
Industry experts from the sponsoring developers will also help to compile a shortlist of companies to be invited to take part in Stage Two of the process – pitching their solutions and potential benefits for the wider industry to the selection panel. The ten companies chosen to join the cohort will undertake an eight-month Launch Academy journey, due to begin in April 2025.
